黃蜂官網宣佈，中鋒艾爾-傑弗森（Al Jefferson）選擇執行球員選項，2015-16賽季將繼續為黃蜂效力。
11年老兵艾爾-傑弗森本賽季出戰65場季賽，平均上場30.6分鐘、得16.6分8.4個籃板1.7次助攻和1.3次阻攻，成為球隊第二號得分手。
2013年夏天，艾爾-傑弗森與球隊下3年價值4050萬美元的合約，下賽季他擁有球員選項、年薪1350萬美元。本賽季，黃蜂隊戰績為33勝49負，東區第11、沒有晉級季後賽，艾爾-傑弗森認為責任未了，願留下來再拚。
為了補強，黃蜂與快艇完成一筆交易，史蒂芬森（Lance Stephenson）被送至快艇，得到霍伊斯（Spencer Hawes）和巴恩斯（Matt Barnes）。
